3rd Quarter First Blog - Forging The Sword

The story is about a a group a people who are fighting agents a empire, they are vastly out numbered, the first chapter takes place with a incoming siege tower to the castle they had near by. The enemy thinking they did not see it coming they planed a ambush. The plan was to take down the huge tower with a valley of fire arrows. But when they scouted it out they saw that their was a huge wall of slaves pushing the tower from each side 30 and 30. If they shoot it down they would all die so they needed to come up with a back up plan. As said in the book, "trying to force us to be as barbaric as he". They talk about how one of the main generals from the enemy army is trying to make them kill innocent lives to make them look bad to the people of their state.

They had to figure out a way to free the slaves before firing and they did, "I can pick the locks. I'll set them free, then you can signal the archers to fire." One of the characters of the story has great skill  with picking locks. So she is going to sneak in and set the slaves free before the archers fire.

In the book they went of they way for the slaves. I am making a prediction. Later in the book I bet it will say they are fighting for the free rights of the slaves. Also one connection I made is in Romans and the Greeks had a war, in the begging it talks about how they had them surrounded and slowly cutting off resources. Theirs a story about a battle between the Romans and the Greeks and how  the Romans surrounded the city and cut off all resources and the Greeks surrounded their city after weeks of no food and water. I feel their could have been a connection of idea between the two.
