Blog 5 The Forever War

The young hero got really sick and he was in his room, the young girl who he knew and was friends with they both lived in the same house it was like a building complex. And he lived on the floor. And their was a ambulance outside and he went up their and listened in. And she herd a taping sound. Not a machine this sound was different she said something non-machine like. And she thought it was a code it could have been a pled for help and she began looking for a way to find out or not

Conflict as she tried to find out, she would have looked on the internet but she knows it could be traced. So she use what every books she could find or get info about it on. Dictionaries and other books to try to guess the code and write back.

Blog 4 The always War

At a part of the book they talk about a hero, he was in a war for his nation and was about to be award the medal of courage and not only that but he be the 12th person ever in his nation’s history to get the reward. But he sat their as they tried to hand it to him and he starred at it and refused. He said it was because he is no hero, he has no courage he said he was noting but coward and ran. And a girl chased after him. That girl was a childhood friend of his. They been friends sense they where young, she found him on the side of a trash can throwing up. And she said “even hero get sick”. But he tried to make her go, he said he didn’t want her to be caught with him because he said he was noting.

This is a conflict I found in the book, theirs still more to it. He didn’t want the medal because he didn’t see him self as a hero he saw him self as a mass murder wether it was for his state or not.

Blog 3 6th Grade name game

Their was a national state play where class and student would choose a state and represent it. And the two many character in the book who are now very mad at each other are are both representing different states. One reprints Canada the other Mexico. Their job is to look up fact and trivia and other things to inter tan and make the state they choose look awesome. While they are doing this their also try to help the one girl they both like as much as possible with favors and thing while reading a bunch of books so they can catch up. One thought that comes to mind is will they be able to juggle all of this just fine.

A conflict I saw was the pressure of the big school test coming and if they failed it means bad news for them. They have to caught up with the work so they can get from point A to point B. They have only a shirt period of time so their going to have to kick it into high gear.

Book Blog 6th Grade Name Gang Blog

One part of the book I think is interesting to talk about was when they had a dance, but this dance was different. The girl had to asks the guy to the dance instead of the other way around. And the two main characters in the book both had the same friend who was a girl and they both trolled each other and try to suck up to the girl as much as possible so she ask him out. They argued a lot, this was the climax of the book I believe because of all the arguing and disputing. Later in the book one of them tried to roller stake with her even do he never skated in his life and broke his arm. He said he broke it after he went flying down a hill and I made a connection because when I was 10 I was ridding my bike around a hills area with my dad and I accidentally fell off path and down a hill and broke my arm. Just like he did in the book.

Conflict would be that their fighting over this girl to get her to ask him out instead of the other and one of them broke their lag in the process. They keep at this for a while I won't give away any more.

The 6th Grade Name game book blog

One of the many things I found interesting in the book was the concept of nicknames. They always use it as a cover for the person or like a another for the collection. They think before naming a person and always have to make chore its perfect. So that it sticks. Because the complete last thing they want is it to not stick. This is though the hole start of the book.

Conflicts I saw was people not liking this at all, some people got really mad at them for calling them a nickname and would refuse being called it at all in anyway.

Holocaust Blog Post

I believe people stood up to this because it was undignified, unsettling to have go around you, and in the most part WROUNG. To have people stuck in their house with little food. Being treated like animals and beaten on the streets. And this was before it got worse. After a while they started shipping them to camps, soon after block after block started to disappear. more people started fighting back. From both sides. But not all of them helped in. Some stood on the side and watched, for they didn't want to become part of it. They saw how people gotten beaten and treated badly and didn't want to get treated the same as well. This is why some stood on the side and some didn't.

SweatShop Blog, 1,127 people die when a building collapses.

People in a rundown, meant to be abandoned, building work making cheaply poorly made cloths for little pay. They work long hours in heat, winter, snow though the year for very little money. Not even the amount needed to support their families. And tragically on a monday a building full of families working in this run down old build collapsed. 1,127 people die. Many hurt very badly. Kids, moms, dads. All died in these factories that they all had to work in to just make the amount needed to get by. One sad case of a person who was trapped under the building for 17 days. Heard the crys of people asking for water in their last hope in survival but she wondered why for no one was their to give it to them. They all starved to death. She was lucky, while she was down their on the first day she found a pack of biscuits. She ate them as soon as she found them. She also found a bottle of water which she used slowly over the few days till it was gone. will then she lived it out for about 13 days with no food nor water. She said she was surprised in how much determination she had to move on. While many of the others around her began to lose faint.

The poem The sweatShop, talks about a worker. He/She says that life in the shop, their is no life you have no mind of your own to think. Just work work work till your done go home and come back early and get little to no pay. No life no feels, just a machine.

Scope Blog- Call of duty

Call of duty I feel I can make a connection to a different story from a article we read last year. The article was both about two soldiers in the same state. They both got hurt by bombs one did get hurt worser. In the article Call of duty he got his leg blown off and that changed his life and put him in a well chair, while in the other article the guy had his entire body burnt to a crisp. A grenade went off next to a car. When it exploded the car set fire to everything around it. The person from the article I read today was hurt by a bomb under ground put and lost a leg. While both accidents are extremely bad and tragic they both made it out alive. Both life changing, both expiring stores. I believe the theme is to never give up no matter how hard to gets. Both moved on with their problems and lived on.

Book summary Number 2

I made a connection to stone fox in this book, they where both hard working dogs. Both where wild and both where ones sled dogs in their book.  A chapter I found interesting was the fight with the bull dog. Wight fang did what he could, he hit the dog over and over but the bull dog stood his ground and tired white fang out. Them when white fang was open he bit him close to the neck. White fang saw though the fight that his attacks didn't even move the dog any. Even with the cuts and blood all over he stood his ground waiting for the perfect chance to get him. Warring him down so when he gets the grip he could hold on easy with out much struggle.

The idea if this was first person would have made this part even more intense. He could tell of the struggle and effort he put in to try to take this dog down. He could talk of the pity and how he thought it was over when the dog got the skin on the side of his neck as the dog drew closer and closer. I also believe the conflict of this book is very dependent on the chapters. Their are many conflicts in this book. Their are a few I can point out but they wouldn't be no more important then the other that I'm not. Do one conflict that was defiantly strong in this book was the conflict of trying to live on. The struggle to survive.

White Fang-Book Summary

A part in the book I found interesting was when he was on a sled team, he was chosen to be the leader of the pack. And because of this he was hated by the other dogs. Brutally followed and ganged up on when ever their master was away and they had a chance to. White fang alway felt like running away in this chapter. And he would talk about the gods. He then would go on late in the chapter that the reason he hated these kind of dogs because he wasn’t one he was wild. Unlike them he was a wild dog still caring on while the others where real dog where their true nature and freeing of being wild gone. I felt this was a good part of the book, it showed his feeling for his kind.

POV

It is told from a third person point of view, it uses words like he, him, his. In the chapter I used from above he says this.
"He reveled in the vengeance he wreaked upon his kind" I also would have liked to have had this from first person. I think it would have been better to know the true feeling he felt. it would have made the book better maybe in my opinion.

Lemon Brown

It was about a boy mad at his dad because he wouldn't let him go on a baseball team because of his bad math grades. The boy mad ran out of his house and came across a old abandon building, it was rainy and storm out at the time. As he looked around he meet a old man who used to play blues. He explans his hard times in life and tells him about a treasure he has. After a while a gang comes because they heard him talking and say they want his treasure, they try to hide and in the rife if hiding the old man tell the big that his treasure is a pair of clips that his son cared around in the war. It was the last thing he has left and that was his treasure and as he said "every man has a treasure".
